    Amazing Results is excited to have been invited to present at this year's Talent & Succession Management Conference 29-31st March at the Novotel Darling Harbour, Sydney. Our presentation will discuss how to develop a framework for measuring your Return on Talent Assets (ROTA) and what it really means to become a Talent Management organisation. Presenters at this year's conference include guest speakers from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Optus, Woodside Energy, Coles Myer, Ernst & Young and Lend Lease to name a few.

    Employment Forecast 2004 Sydney Morning Herald (SMH)

    Good news job seekers! The SMH's comprehensive Employment Forecast for 2004 has predicted 70,000 new jobs forecast for the May quarter due to accelerating economic growth and a cyclical upturn in white-collar and professional employment. Significant pick-up has been predicted in the finance, insurance, property and business services areas.

    More full-time jobs for managers, executives, supervisors, professionals and associate professionals are expected, while part-time employment growth remains strong in the tourism, retail and clerical areas. Of particular relevance to our clients and candidates will be the prediction of 19,000 new jobs for managers and professionals in the May quarter with strong demand for IT, Health and HR professionals. The report states that NSW and Victoria are leading the employment recovery.

    Top 10 Tips for Interviews
    1. Always arrive a few minutes early for the interview

    2. Remember to smile and greet your interviewer with a firm handshake

    3. Dress professionally and conservatively - dark suit, preferably navy or black, with conservative blouse/shirt and tie

    4. Display a positive attitude!

    5. Clearly articulate why you want to work for the company and express a keen interest in the position.

    6. Discuss specific examples of your major professional accomplishments.

    7. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer.

    8. Do not speaking negatively about present or previous employers or co-workers.

    9. Avoid discussing salary, benefits, religion, or political issues unless the topics are initiated by the interviewer

    10.Follow up the interview with a thank-you letter - good manners get noticed

    An outstanding candidate recently attended an interview armed with a very professional presentation fully prepared, which outlined why the candidate wanted the position and how the candidate would go about "hitting the ground running" for the company.
